What is Alan Wake 2

Remedy's survival horror sequel, split between writer Alan Wake clawing out of the Dark Place and FBI agent Saga Anderson investigating a string of ritual murders in Bright Falls. Two campaigns, two mind-spaces, one nightmare bleeding between them.

Conclusion

The mid-game sagged — a stretch where the pacing went flat and I was pushing through more than enjoying it. The bookends more than make up for it, though, and it's a confident, gorgeous piece of horror. Kinda made me miss Alan Wake 1 the whole way through. 5/5.
