The Atlas
Landmarks, cities, and hidden corners of the world.
Establishments
The Tipsy Lizard
Tavern
A dive bar in Predymesh where secrets are traded for ale. The kind of place where you wipe your feet on the way out.
St. Marlowe Hotel
Inn / Flophouse
A rundown hotel for has-beens and never-weres. Its walls hold more regrets than paint. In a back room, a high-stakes poker table launders secrets as readily as money.
Blade's Clinic
Medical Facility
A sanctuary of white marble and lavender scent. A place of miraculous healing, and sometimes, quiet death.
The Laughing Stock
Comedy Club
The comedy club in Craninal where the Sultan of Butterflies performs and gathers her silent army. In the alley behind its stage door, a hitman once lowered his gun.
The Clockwork Sanctum
Workshop / Shop
Klaude Barral's old workshop in Craninal. A place where the air was thick with the smell of oil and the dust of dead cities, and where every tick of a clock sounded like a funeral bell. Abandoned when the eleven-hour pulse began killing his instruments; Klaude now moves den to den through the ruins of old Glareach.
Fredsound Dream Studios
Production Studio
The most prestigious and successful movie studio in Hamitonis, managed by Rainhold Fredsound.
The Gauntlet
Arena
A roaring blood-sport arena in the neon vice city of Glareach, where fixed prizefights end in real deaths and the house always collects. Like everything in Glareach, it was built on bones—and it is fed fresh ones nightly.
Institutions
Military Academy of Thornus
Academy
A rigid institution where the elite of Thornus are trained. It is where Niva DeRosa met Granold Rolnifeld and learned the hard truths of class and betrayal.
St. Jude's Asylum
Medical Institution / Prison
A sterile fortress of white walls and silence on the hill above Predymesh, run by Dr. Brann Corshield. It is where the "mad" were sent to be broken and rebuilt in the image of conformity—and where the RedLink was built in the restricted wing. It burned on the night the RedLink fell.
Krones Research Lab
Scientific Facility
A sterile, high-security laboratory in the heart of Predymesh. It is where Avalia Krones performs her miracles—and where she hides the secrets of her true discoveries behind layers of mathematical noise.
Locations
Road of Lion
Avenue
The ceremonial avenue of Thornus, often used for parades. It was the target of a diversionary bomb threat by Cytrox.
City Market
Marketplace
The bustling heart of Predymesh commerce. It became the site of the Massacre of the Grenadiers, where Mayor Lynnia and 13 civilians, including Donlane DeRosa, were killed.
The Lower Ward
District
The poorer district of the city, where an orphanage stands funded by questionable means.
Music Festival Grounds
Event Location
The site where Hellbound played "Last Breath" and Galarian Freiton took his.
The Under-City
Sewers / Slums
The labyrinthine sewer system beneath Predymesh. A dark, damp world where the forgotten live and the city's dirtiest secrets flow. Home to the triplets.
The Sewer Hub
Hideout
A central junction in the Predymesh under-city. It is where the triplets sort through the city's washed-down secrets and listen to the vibrations of the ruling class above.
Leatherwave's Garden
Private Garden
A small, hidden oasis at the end of a dead-end alley in Craninal. It is a place of moss, sunlight, and feline mumbles.
Proxan Mountain
Geographical Landmark
The ancestral home of the Children of the Mountain. A towering, desolate peak containing pressurized pockets of Sansu Syrup. It is a restricted military excavation site. Since the night the RedLink fell, its ancient resonance has gone silent.
Residences
Corrigan Investigations
Office
A dusty office with a flickering neon sign, smelling of stale smoke and cheap bourbon. The sanctuary of a man fighting his own shadow—and, since his fall, the workshop of someone who built a cathedral of red string on its walls.
Orlong's Attic
Slum Residence
A damp, cramped attic in the Predymesh slums. Once a home for an honest mason, it is now the silent sickroom of Pellera Orlong, smelling of rain and desperation.
The Kosnak Estate
Manor
A sprawling, opulent estate in the capital city of Predymesh. Its gilded walls hide the grotesque trophies of Wulf Kosnak and serve as a cage for Penta.
Settlements
Craninal
City
A city in Thornus where truth is a dangerous commodity and the only safe place to speak it is on a comedy stage.
Glareach
City
Once a poor town in Thornus, destroyed in the War of Fourbournes, its center rebuilt as a neon-soaked metropolis of casinos and vice. A monument to Aester Cloudwear's greed. Only what could turn a profit was rebuilt: the old districts and the rocky coastline remain ash-choked ruins, left to the ghosts.
Predymesh
Capital City
The capital city of Thornus. A place of gilded spires and deep corruption, where the air is rich and the morals are poor. Home to the ruling class and the shadow ruler, Wulf Kosnak. Gas lamps burn beside neon, and carriages share the cobbles with growling motorcars; in Predymesh, the century you live in depends on the street you can afford.
Thornus
Country
A nation of sharp contrasts, where ancient traditions are suffocated by modern corruption. From the neon vice of Glareach to the gilded spires of Predymesh, it is a land held together by the iron grip of shadow rulers. Nominally a kingdom—its crowned figurehead signs where Wulf Kosnak points—its cities are run by mayors who exist to absorb the blame. Technology pools where money pools: satellite eyes and motorcars for the ministries and the studios, gas lamps and carriage-lines for everyone else.
Hamitonis
Metropolitan City
A city of celebrities, glamour, and superficiality. It is the heart of the entertainment industry and filled with a glamorous lifestyle.
