The first season is superior. Its confined setting gives the mystery focus, and the sterile offices, awkward routines, and corporate rituals make even ordinary interactions feel wrong. The tension builds with purpose; each discovery makes the situation more disturbing while giving the characters a stronger reason to push back. It feels carefully constructed, with a finale that makes all that restraint pay off.

The second season does not reach the same level. There are still striking moments and strong performances, but expanding the mystery costs it some of the first season's concentration. The pacing feels less assured, and the questions are not always as compelling as the ones that first pulled me in. It remains interesting, but the first season had a consistency and urgency that the follow-up does not sustain.

4/5. An exceptional premise and a superior first season keep the overall rating high. Season two has its moments, but it is a step down.
